Biography

In the 1970’s I studied music including Piano, Cello and Singing full-time at Coventry School of Music receiving an award for outstanding progress and culminating in a Certificate in Music. I then went on to complete a three year full-time music teaching diploma course at Birmingham School of Music.

I have now been teaching piano, keyboard and music theory in the Ashford area for over 30 years and, as well as teaching those who simply wish to play for fun, have prepared numerous pupils for exams and some more gifted students for scholarships.

I was co-founder of the Egerton Music Club in the year 2000 and have also been actively involved with a number of amateur dramatic societies over a number of years including Egerton Players and MMADS, directing the music for a number of shows including Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady and Oliver amongst others. I also play chamber music and have, over the years, collaborated with many musicians including violinists, cellists, percussionists, double bass players, singers, saxophonists and flautists.
